HR Martin County Scholarship requirements:

  • Award Amount - $250
  • Must be a current HR Martin County member in good standing.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited higher education institution majoring in Business or a Human Resource focused curriculum.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (student must provide unofficial transcript).
  • Attendance of at least one membership meeting during the previous 12 months prior to date of scholarship application (student must indicate meeting(s) attended).
  • Written 500-word essay on how effective human resource management enhances an organization’s goals.
  • Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, or other educational supplies.

HR Martin County Scholarship Application - Fall Term


HR Martin County Scholarship process:

  • College Relations Chair sends out notification soliciting applicants for the scholarship a minimum of one (1) month prior to the application deadline.
  • One (1) scholarship will be awarded each calendar year for either the Spring Term or the Fall Term.  If no applications are received for the Spring Term, the process with be repeated for the Fall Term.
  • College Relations Chair receives applications by a deadline of November 15th for the Spring Term or June 15th for the Fall Term.
  • Scholarship committee reviews the applications and selects a recipient by December 15th or July 15th each year.
  • College Relations Chair notifies award recipient by January 1st or August 1st each year.  Notification to those who applied but did not receive the scholarship will also be made by these dates.
  • Presentation of the $250 scholarship check will be made to the award recipient at the January or August membership meetings.  If award recipient is unable to attend said meeting, the check will be mailed to the award recipient prior to the meeting date.
